Winners of the Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation (QORF) awards were announced Friday night at the QORF Awards Dinner.
Girl Guides Queensland is pleased to announce to following winners and finalists:

Help Guides Queensland Support their Sisters in need!Focus: Brisbane Storms, November 2008
The Girl Guides Queensland established "Environmental Impact Fund" was created to assist sister Guides affected by environmental disasters. The current focus of this fund is to help those who have been affected by the recent Brisbane Storms.
The Support Centre is once again the collection point for any money raised for this Fund. Units, Districts, Regions or Trefoil Guilds wishing to raise money to assist those in need, please forward your donations to the Support Centre clearly marked “Environmental Impact Fund”. Any suggestions regarding the use of this fund are welcome and can be forwarded directly to the State Commissioner, Sue Van Eyk.

Women on the Alumni database will be invited to the Centenary activities and other special events. In conjunction with the Taking the Lead - Young Women's Forum being held next year, Girl Guides Australia is conducting a leadership and advocacy survey for members aged between 14 and 30 years.
This survey only takes a few minutes to complete but will help Girl Guides Australia to ensure they are meeting the needs of the younger members. This survey will be
open for responses until January 2009.
